Since it was a first, TeMa North America and West Virginia officials celebrated the Italian-based manufacturing company’s initial North American venture with a groundbreaking ceremony.
The new 42,000 SF advanced manufacturing plant in Kearneysville, West Virginia produces insulation and drainage systems for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors using automated plastics-extrusion technology.
One of 19 worldwide subsidiaries of Technologies and Materials, TeMa is based in Trieste, Italy. The company is globally well known for its continuous research and development of new products in the insulation, drainage and geotechnical sector; it also has plants in Italy, Spain, Turkey, Romania and Russia.
“Among the most rewarding aspects of being a client’s partner is that — together — we can offer opportunities to those who live in the communities we serve,” says Jeff Boehm, President of Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. “Our partnership with TeMa and its leadership has been delightful, and the jobs TeMa provides will help families in Jefferson County for decades to come.”
TeMa North America is the latest international company to locate in Jefferson County’s 400-acre Burr Business Park. The project was completed on a fast track schedule.
