Mercury Paper, Inc., is a growing paper towel and tissue products company.

Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. was the negotiated general contractor for this tilt-up construction project located on a 29-acre parcel near the intersection of I-81 and I-66 in Shenandoah County, VA. With easy access to the Virginia Inland Port, the facility is of institutional quality and features 32′ clear ceiling heights, an ESFR sprinkler system, cross-docking with 50 dock doors and 50 trailer spaces, and 13,000 square feet of office space.

Containing some of the world’s most sophisticated and highly computerized tissue converting lines and packaging equipment, all areas of the facility incorporate state-of-the-art resources. While LEED® designation was not sought, the design incorporates a number of sustainable features such as high efficiency lighting, a TPO white roof, and an extensive recycling program.
