Howard Shockey & Sons recently completed a three-story, 300-space garage for Shenandoah University. The structure, which complements the new athletic and events center at SU, features a brick facade with a large medallion on each corner that bears the school’s crest or the hornet mascot.
Located on a former athletics practice field known as The Rock, the new garage provides much-needed parking and includes four electrical vehicle charging stations.
On weekdays, the parking structure is designated for first-year residential students. On the weekends, it is available for those attending events at the stadium or events center.
The new garage also includes an additional 100 surface spaces behind it. Construction began in November 2017 and was completed prior to SU Commencement in May 2018.
