WINCHESTER, Va. — Shockey is pleased to announce that former team member Neil Hoffstot has rejoined the company as its dedicated Director of K-12.
“School construction has always been a core focus at Shockey. Tapping Neil to lead this division reinforces our commitment to the K-12 sector. We are strategically consolidating and strengthening our ability to serve and deliver school construction projects throughout the mid-Atlantic,” says Jeff Boehm, Shockey president.
With more than three decades of field and office experience , Neil has steadily advanced into executive-level roles due to his expertise with both sides of K-12 building projects — both from the contractor side and the school district side. Clients and partners respect Neil’s ability to adeptly guide staff, subcontractors, schedule, budget, and project delivery.
“Neil’s aptitude for managing many moving parts on complex large-scale projects, coordinating phases of work, communicating with the trades is impressive,” adds Boehm. “Neil will provide top level accountability for school districts, and we’ll ensure we are delivering these critical public sector projects with outstanding value, clarity of communication, and overall excellence.”
Before returning as Shockey’s Director of K-12, Neil served as the Construction Supervisor for Loudoun County Public Schools, one of the fastest-growing school districts in Virginia. While with Loudoun County, Neil worked on major projects such as:
- Henrietta Lacks Elementary School, Aldie, VA
- North Star School Renovations, Leesburg, VA
- Watson Mountain Middle School, Leesburg, VA
- Briar Woods High School, Ashburn, VA
When previously with Shockey, Neil was involved on a wide range of K-12 projects including Hovatter Elementary School, Elaine Thompson Elementary School, and Lightridge High School.
Among his current school projects for Shockey are Halifax County High School and Stafford High School #6 in Virginia, Ranson Elementary School in West Virginia, and the Southern Garrett Elementary School Renovation and Addition in Maryland.
