Shockey has begun construction on The Gallery at Roland Park, a new senior living project in Baltimore’s distinctive suburb with the same name. The new three-story community features 111 apartment homes, including independent living/assisted living and memory care units.
The Gallery will have classic interiors with intentionally designed spaces for connection with friends and trying new things. Two restaurants will allow residents to sample different meals, from everyday casual eats to pub/fish house style menus. Amenities include a piano lounge, fitness center, salon and spa, and activity/game rooms. Exterior features include well-appointed courtyards, al fresco dining spaces, and a walking path around the leafy community.
NexCore Group, a privately-owned diversified healthcare real estate development, investment, and management company, along with its vertically-integrated senior housing operator, Experience Senior Living (ESL), are developing the project. Arrive Architecture Group of Dallas, Texas is the architect.
Slated to open in the first quarter of 2027, The Gallery at Roland Park is NexCore’s first senior housing community in Maryland. NexCore has a national footprint spanning 29 states. Over in Virginia, Shockey also completed NexCore’s most recent project in Richmond (Sancerre Atlee Station).
