Cardiac/Vascular Imaging

The 65,000-SF Outpatient Diagnostic Center (ODC) at Winchester Medical Center (WMC) provides state-of-the-art imaging technology and a convenient outpatient laboratory center. Shockey recently completed a 13,000-SF renovation and build out of a Cardiovascular Imaging Suite at the ODC on the WMC Campus. The finished project gives patients easy access to a wide variety of cardiac and vascular screenings, including specialized testing such as a cardiac CT (computed tomography) scan for coronary calcium. The non-invasive test locates the presence of calcified plaque in the coronary arteries of the heart muscle.

Cardiac stress tests or exercise stress tests can be used to examine how well the heart functions during exercise. Treadmill, nuclear imaging, and echocardiogram stress tests are all offered at the new imaging suite.

Prevention and early diagnosis of cardiovascular disease can avert serious health events. The Heart & Vascular Center on the main campus at WMC has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification, the premier cardiovascular certification awarded to hospitals.
