Shockey loves partnership. This parking garage in Richmond is our fourth design-build parking deck project and the largest collaboration to date with The Eisen Group. The five-story parking structure provides additional employee parking for the medical campus at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. The 310,000-SF, 1200-space parking garage replaces existing surface parking.

The construction site, located on approximately 4.7 acres adjacent to Interstate 64 and Interstate 95 right-of-ways, made for tight access. To the southeast, the site is bound by Seventh Street, and to the east stands an existing Virginia Commonwealth University Healthcare System (VCUH) surface parking lot.

VCUHS provides patients progressive treatments and the latest medical technology available in more than 200 specialty areas including cancer, cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and transplantation. During construction, no care was interrupted.
