Manufacturing, Office & Distribution Center

For the Trex Company, a new 188,000 SF manufacturing facility constructed of precast wall panels on a conventional steel-framed structure with a low sloped EPDM roofing system. A steel superstructure extends above the majority of the roofing system to accommodate the equipment installations required for the manufacturing operations. The facility includes traditional loading docks for shipping and receiving, as well as 10 dedicated wood chip receiving docks for the introduction of material into the manufacturing process. Shockey has built more than one million SF for the Trex Company in Winchester, Virginia, close to Interstates 81 and 66.

Two Light Manufacturing Buildings

Building 1 is a 63,000 SF facility and Building 2 is a 176,000 SF facility. Both structures clear interior heights of 32’ and are built on conventional steel frames, using load-bearing insulated tilt wall panels for exterior walls. The facilities comprise the first phase of the Graystone Industrial Center, located near Interstate 81 in Winchester, Virginia.

Distribution Center

Expansion of a distribution center for manufacturer Melnor Inc., representing an additional 159,000 SF for this repeat client. Shockey previously constructed a 130,000 SF facility for Melnor that houses office space, research and development labs, and a distribution center.  These projects are located in the Stonewall In­dustrial Park, just west of In­terstate 81, in Frederick County, Virginia.

Steel-Frame Warehouse

Construction of a new concrete slab-on-grade, steel-frame warehouse with reinforced concrete tilt-up exterior walls. The 404,000 SF warehouse is equipped with LED lighting, 32 ft. ceilings, dock doors, a trailer court area, sprinkler and monitored fire alarm. The facility is located in Berkeley Business Park, one mile from Interstate 81 in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
