Front Royal, Va. — Valley Health officials expect the new $100 million Warren Memorial Hospital located off Leach Run Parkway to open in the summer of 2021.
The 17,000-square-foot three-floor hospital will have 36 private patient rooms, 18 emergency beds, six observation beds, three operating rooms and one cardiac catheterization lab. The hospital’s two major focus areas will be heart and vascular health along with orthopedics.
Valley Health Southern Region Vice President Floyd Heater said of the pending opening, “there’s a lot of energy and excitement” and “people are looking forward to it very much.”
The 150-acre campus, which includes room for future expansion, will offer walking trails and green space, according to information provided by Valley Health. A 3.5-mile walking trail likely will open concurrently with the hospital.
The hospital is being constructed by Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. The new facility will replace an existing hospital that opened off Shenandoah Avenue in 1951.
