ROCKVILLE, Md. — The Village at Rockville—A National Lutheran Community has selected Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. to build its Glenmere apartment homes expansion. The approximately $95 million expansion will be constructed on five acres within The Village at Rockville’s existing 31-acre footprint, and includes a 130-unit independent living apartment building with underground parking, an indoor aquatic center, fitness areas, and dining venues.
Designed by BCT Architects in Baltimore, a variety of one-and two-bedroom floor plans comprise the 130 units, ranging in size from 737-1,786 square feet. The project, managed by ARCH Consultants, Ltd., encompasses a total of 295,544 square feet, across two interconnected, four-story structures.
Construction is slated to begin fall 2018, pending final approval by the Maryland Department of Aging, with an anticipated opening in the fall of 2020.
