The Village at Orchard Ridge, a National Lutheran Community, is a nationally accredited, non-profit, continuing care retirement facility located in Winchester, Virginia.
Built on a 132-acre campus over planned phases of construction, the senior living community now houses more than 300 residents. Life revolves around the village green, the town chapel, and the friendship of close neighbors. It features cottages, duplexes and apartment homes in a wide range of styles and sizes; restaurants; a library; a state-of-the-art fitness center; walking paths; and a pub and lounge. The apartments, health center and community buildings are conditioned by a geothermal heat pump system comprised of 252 vertical wells that capitalize on the favorable geological conditions to provide year-round heating and cooling.
