Solenberger Hall Renovations

Located in a prime spot along Old Town Winchester’s pedestrian mall, the historic Jno. S. Solenberger & Co. hardware building was repurposed into first-class housing for Shenandoah University. Shockey converted the multi-level building into single, double or quadruple-occupancy apartments for graduate students.

Because of its location on the walking mall, SU students who live in Solenberger are expected to give service hours back to the community.

Historic tax credits were used to help finance the student housing project.
