Museum Receives AIA Award: Jurors’ Special Citation in Institutional Architecture

We are pleased to announce that the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum project in Winchester, Virginia recently won a design award from the American Institute of Architects, Northern Virginia Chapter. The award was a “Jurors’ Special Citation in Institutional Architecture.”

The designer of the project was Reader & Swartz Architects P.C. The builder was Howard Shockey & Sons Inc. The structural engineer was Painter-Lewis PLC, and the mechanical engineer was Comfort Design.
