ASHBURN, VA (November 9, 2015) – One Loudoun, an award-winning mixed-use development, is moving forward with the next phase of its ambitious growth.
Last week, Loudoun County issued a building permit to move forward with construction of a multi-story parking garage off Russell Branch Parkway.
The new parking garage will house 791 parking spaces on four structured levels and one on-grade level.
It is primarily intended to serve the community’s retail and dining customers. The design of the parking garage will fit contextually with the upscale mixed-use community that surrounds it.
The 252,530 square foot structure is moving forward on a fast-track schedule.
The builder is Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. of Winchester, Virginia and the architect is The Eisen Group of Washington, DC. The two companies are working together in a design-build alliance to speed up the delivery of the project by strategically overlapping design and construction stages.
“Our goal is to complete this garage as expeditiously as possible to meet the needs of the fast-growing retail and restaurant development at One Loudoun,” said Jennifer Macks, Vice President at Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc.
Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. is partnering with affiliate company Shockey Precast, also based in Winchester, to bring additional speed and flexibility to the construction schedule.
The garage is expected to open in March of 2016.
During construction, traffic will be routed so there will minimal impact to customers.
