Georgetown University

Constructed on a breathtaking 55-acre site in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Georgetown University’s Calcagnini Contemplative Center inspires students of all faiths. In addition to religious retreats, Georgetown University offers students nondenominational reflective experiences at Calcagnini.

After initial construction by Shockey which included a dining hall, community building, courtyards, caretaker’s house, chapel, and 28 cabins, our Partner Services team has performed ongoing construction maintenance and repairs on the campus, including installing new pavers, painting, and adding lightning protection.

The project has won numerous construction awards, including an Award of Excellence from NAIOP.
