WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA — The Big Book is an expanded, special issue of Virginia Business magazine that is published each March that ranks Virginia’s largest companies by industry sector.

Out of 42 companies that participated in the general contractor survey, Shockey came in at number 7 with $264.5 million in total revenues, and $215.5 million in billings in Virginia.

According to Stephen E. Sandherr, CEO of the Associated General Contractors of America, Shockey’s forecast for the coming year is inline with national expectations. “Contractors have relatively high expectations for 2017 as they predict the economy and demands for all types of construction will grow,” said Sandherr.
