A Public-Private Partnership (PPP) can offer financing flexibility, lower project costs, a quicker project schedule, and a more collaborative process. These partnership models are sometimes referred to as PPP or P3. They combine the expertise of both the public and private sectors in a way that supplements limited public sector resources and improves project delivery.
Shockey specializes in PPP projects that address local issues and bring real value to communities – primarily schools, transit, parking, public safety, and community centers. Since the legislation was adopted in Virginia in 2002, Shockey has completed approximately $300 million in public-private projects for communities throughout Virginia.
We serve on Virginia’s PPEA Model Procedures Task Force and on the national ABC-NCPPP Committee for the advancement of public-private partnerships. If you would like to discuss how this alternative delivery model might work in your community, please call Jennifer Macks at 540.723.4128 or email jmacks@howardshockey.com.
