WINCHESTER, Va. — The Harlem Globetrotters, as part of their 2024 World Tour presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs, are bringing their world-famous basketball act back to Winchester. The Globetrotters will entertain and delight the fans as they DRIBBLE, SPIN, SLAM, and DUNK their way past their rivals.
Where are they playing? For the fourth time? We know the place well. We built the 77,000-square-foot Shenandoah University’s James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics and Events Center, which opened in January 2018. This award-winning indoor athletic facility is the largest event space in 70 miles, and it serves the university’s 22 athletics teams as well as local and regional communities. The designer of the project is ESa, an architecture firm based in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Globetrotters, who entertained a capacity crowd last spring, will return to SU for the second year in a row to take on the Washington Generals at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
If you’d like to learn more or reserve a space, tickets are on sale now and start at $25. Prepare to be amazed by new levels of mind-blowing trick shots, expert ball-handling skills, and big laughs with unrivaled opportunities for pre-game, post-game, and in-game fan engagement.
The event is organized by Russ Potts Productions Inc. (RPPI) of Winchester. The Globetrotters are well-known ambassadors of goodwill and are on a mission to spread joy as they travel around the country to inspire and learn from communities that are making a difference. At Shenandoah University, a food drive will take place during the Globetrotters’ game to benefit Bright Futures-Frederick/Winchester, a nonprofit organization that helps address the needs of local K-12 students.
