Baltimore, Md. — Construction for the new Gallery at Roland Park senior living project in the distinctive Baltimore suburb of Roland Park has begun. The new three-story community features 111 apartment homes, including independent living/assisted living and memory care units.
NexCore Group, a privately-owned diversified healthcare real estate development, investment, and management company with a national footprint spanning 29 states, and its vertically-integrated senior housing operator, Experience Senior Living (ESL) are developing the project.
“Breaking ground on The Gallery at Roland Park is an exciting opportunity for NexCore to continue our growth in the mid-Atlantic region,” stated Michael Ray, Chief Investment Officer of NexCore Group.
Arrive Architecture Group of Dallas, Texas, is the architect, and Senior by Design of Dallas is the interior designer. Howard Shockey & Sons of Winchester, Virginia, is the general contractor.
The Gallery at Roland Park will have classic interiors with intentionally designed spaces for residents to connect with friends, try new things, and enjoy experiences they create together. Two dining restaurants will allow residents to experience different menus from everyday casual dining and pub/fish house style meals. Amenities will include two restaurants, a piano lounge, fitness center, salon and spa, and activity/game rooms. Outside, there are well-appointed courtyards, al fresco dining spaces, and a walking path around the community.
Slated to open in the first quarter of 2027, The Gallery at Roland Park is NexCore’s first senior housing community in Maryland.
Shockey also completed NexCore’s most recent project Richmond, another community with deep historic roots, called Sancerre Atlee Station.
