Loudoun County Moves Forward With Pennington Garage

LEESBURG, VIRGINIA (December 7, 2016) – Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. has been awarded the contract to build a new four-level parking garage in Leesburg.

The parking garage represents the first part of a planned courthouse complex expansion project for Loudoun County, which will ultimately include a new 92,000-square-foot General District Court building. Once construction of the parking structure is complete, Loudoun County will move forward with the courthouse construction.

The new parking garage will be located to the east of the current Pennington Parking Lot. The new three-bay, four-level structure will provide 717 parking stalls, each of which will be 8’-6” wide.

Dewberry is the project architect. Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc., based in Winchester Virginia, is the general contractor.

Shockey recently finished another large parking deck in Loudoun County, the award-winning parking garage at the One Loudoun development in Ashburn.
