Freestanding Cancer Center To Open in August at Winchester Medical Center

WINCHESTER, VA (May 31, 2016) – A new, state of the art Cancer Center is scheduled to open in August on the campus of Winchester Medical Center.

The freestanding medical building will consolidate the hospital’s medical, surgical and radiation oncology services.

Along with physician offices and patient areas, the new building will include:

  • Medical oncology infusion space (26 infusion bays)
  • Surgical oncology space
  • Surgical oncology
  • Gynecologic oncology
  • Thoracic oncology
  • Radiation oncology space
  • Breast care program space

The 52,000 SF building will also feature a 70-seat conference center for patient education, integrative care and other support services, as well as an comfortable waiting area for patients and families.  An enclosed skywalk will provide easy access to the Diagnostic Center.
