Student Housing Nearly Ready | Northern Virginia Daily

The hard hats, orange vests and layers of scaffolding might not give it away, but progress on the Solenberger Building on the Loudoun Street Pedestrian Mall is right on schedule. Carefully selected students should begin moving in before classes start Aug. 29 at Shenandoah University, which bought the building last July. In order to live in the first apartment-style, off-campus housing in the history of SU, students had to submit their plans for a service outreach project they will complete during their stay. In addition to being an undergraduate or graduate student at SU and 21 years or older, every resident is required to perform 12 hours of volunteer service within the downtown community each semester.rn
