The multi-year construction project will have an ultimate build-out of 402,000 square feet. In Phase One, 178 residences (51 cottage homes and 127 apartments) will be built around a village green. Phase One also includes skilled nursing/assisted living, a commons area, and a chapel.rnrnThe project incorporates renewable energy sources such as geothermal energy. The cottages will be LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), which means they will be both healthy and energy-efficient.rnrnIn addition to its independent living apartments and cottages, The Village at Orchard Ridge will provide home-based assisted living, memory care assisted living, and nursing care options.rnAccording to Courtney Malengo of National Lutheran Communities & Services, “the centerpiece of our community is in providing our residents choice and flexibility. Their choice is specifically significant because our philosophy is based on resident directed care and whole person wellness.””rnrnDesigned by Reese
