RANSON – Officials from West Virginia University, the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, and the city of Ranson officially opened a new medical office building across the street from Jefferson Memorial Hospital with a ceremonial ribbon cutting Monday morning in Ranson.rnrnThe 7,200-square-foot building will house the WVU Women’s Health Center, WVU Medical Surgical Associates, and an orthopedic surgery and sports medicine clinic. rnrnDr. C.H. Mitch Jacques, dean of the Eastern Division of WVU’s Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, says “It’s been in the works for several years. We have a building plan for both this hospital and for City Hospital
