rnrnGeneral contractor Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. won the 2010 award for its green approach on the new fast-tracked Tuscarora High School project in Leesburg. Shockey, and employees Michael Stanger and Shannon Jays (site superintendents), were commended for their outstanding commitment to conservation, providing the highest standards of erosion and sediment control. Shockey made “environmental protection a priority … and overcame sensitive environmental site conditions with innovative design and effective construction techniques
