Howard Shockey & Sons is working with the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley (MSV) to develop its 214-acre campus in four construction phases over 10 years. Phase I of the Master Plan included an extensive two-year restoration and reinterpretation of the Glen Burnie House. The modernization changed the house museum to a small scale event space, rentable as a venue for parties, lectures, concerts and weddings. Shockey also restored six acres of garden space.
Currently, we are working with MSV on a renovation to the main lobby of the museum. In subsequent phases, Shockey will be providing additional restoration and expansion, new construction of buildings and roads, and construction of an outdoor amphitheater.
