WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA (August 5, 2016) – Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc., one of Virginia’s oldest and largest general contracting and construction management companies, is pleased to announce the addition of Colleen Smith to the firm’s business development team.
In her new role, Colleen will primarily focus on expanding Shockey’s business opportunities in the greater metro areas of Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Charlottesville.
“Colleen has been building relationships throughout Central Virginia for a long time, and we look forward to her support as we continue to grow Shockey’s presence in the region,” said Jennifer Macks, Vice President at Shockey.
Colleen brings expertise in business development, economic development, marketing, and graphic design across a wide spectrum companies in the A/E/C industry. Prior to joining Shockey, Colleen held positions at Richmond-based companies such as Bowman Consulting, Froehling and Robertson, and Baskervill Architects.
“We’re excited about her in-depth knowledge of the Richmond marketplace, which is one of our fastest growing clusters of work,” added Macks.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE.) She is a graduate of the Pratt Institute in New York City.
